From humble beginners The Sanctuary, originally started as a private yoga retreat for friends, which then came popular among backpackers before opening to the public.

Still an intimate, small scale setup the Sanctuary Yoga Retreat is low key retreat with a chilled vibe. At the Sanctuary, they are firm believers in connecting guests with nature, via bungalows and even treehouses nestled in the jungle. This is an authentic Thailand experience is there ever was one.

14. Island Yoga - Koh Yao Noi

A friendly Yoga Retreat with an off the grid feel and lower budget options. Island Yoga, is located on the undeveloped island of Koh Yao Noi in the south of Thailand.

Although, less built up and definitely not touristic compared to neighbouring Phuket & krabi it is actually relatively easy to access. Flights can be obtained to Phuket airport before catching a thai long boat or ferry to the Koh Yao Noi for less then $10.


Island Yoga, offers a range of Yoga retreats suitable for all levels. Offering Yoga, wellness and even sunrise tai chi sessions. With beautiful scenery, Thai authenticity and a great atmosphere. This is a great place to check out.

Yoga Packages & Cost:

Back to the Great paradise island of Koh Phangan, widely know for it's popular backpacker Full moon parties in the south. The Yoga Retreat is located at the complete opposite end of the island!
