New Hope, Pennsylvania, is a small town with a big city feel, reflected by the various restaurants available throughout the community. With a population of just above 2,000 and buildings from the 1800s, this historic district is the perfect mix of old and new.

If you’re visiting, there are many things to see and do! It’s one of the top towns in Pennsylvania for relaxed tourism. Between eating fantastic meals and shopping at eclectic stores, you can check out the New Hope Railroad, Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve, the New Hope Arts Center, the Highlands Art Gallery, and the Howell Living History Farm. 1.  Zoubi Restaurant & Bar

Located in the former Mechanic Street Station, Zoubi Restaurant & Bar is a European-inspired restaurant that feels upscale and sophisticated. The terrace-style seating offers garden vibes, and the artisanal plating makes it perfect for a classy brunch or lunch. 

Zoubi offers international dishes like Sesame Crusted Tuna, Pan-Seared Octopus, Tuna Poke, and Baked Blue Point Oysters, each with unexpected flavors that heighten the experience. They also have a phenomenal Cheese Board that patrons claim is one of the best they’ve ever had and pairs well with many of the appetizers available.

3. Nektar Wine Bar

At Sprig & Vine, you’ll find a wide variety of delicious eats, including small plates of Marinated Castelvetrano Olives, Grilled Oyster Mushroom Crostini, and black Eyed Pea-Sweet Potato Griddle Cakes. Their entrees are just as impressive with options like Sesame-Crusted Kabocha Squash, Fennel Seed-Seared Tofu, Delicata Squash & Brussels Sprout Wat, and Cauliflower & Fingerling Potato Curry. They also offer unique sides and desserts.

At Jaffron, you’ll find Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken or Lamb Korma, Kadai Chicken, Butter Chicken, Chicken or Lamb Vindaloo, Meat Samosas, Tadka Paneer, Onion Bhajia, several different types of Naan, Poori, Roti, and many Tandoori options. 

It’s best to go solo or with a date unless you’re grabbing takeout due to the size of the restaurant. You can also make reservations for a larger party, and they’ll do their best to be accommodating.

As a Gastropub, The Salt House offers some pretty ingenuitive dishes. The appetizers range from Pork Loin Dumplings In Bone Broth With Sesame And Scallions to Duck Meatballs in Black Garlic Molasses. The entrees are just as impressive, including North Atlantic Salmon with Anchovy Butter and Haricots Verts, Braised Short Rib Stew Over Buttered Amish Egg Noodles, and The Salt House Cheeseburger. 10. Amelia

Amelia is a lovely upscale Italian restaurant where you BYOB that’s open Friday to Sunday from 5 pm to 10 pm. The service is second to none, and they’re well known for being the most romantic place in New Hope. As a small establishment, there’s only one waitress, so prepare to sit back, relax, pop your own wine, and enjoy delicious food. 

Amelia’s likes to keep things traditional when it comes to the food. They offer starters like Fennel and Mushroom with grana padano and lemon vinaigrette, Grilled Radicchio with mushroom, hazel nuts, and sherry vinaigrette, and Calamari Fritti, with entrees such as Scampi, Vongole, Fradiavolo, and a large variety of house-made pastas paired with amazing Italian sauces. 

This is the trendiest date night option on the list, so be sure to make reservations well in advance. The BYOB covers beer and wine, so bring a bottle or two of your favorites and enjoy a homemade Italian dessert at the end of your meal.

The food at Italian Cucina is a bit different than your average Italian establishment. They pride themselves on taking Italian classics and elevating them to something new and exciting. Their menu changes often enough that you’ll need to visit to see what’s on offer, but patrons assure us it’s worth the chance. 

This is the type of romantic establishment where the chef visits each table to ensure you’re happy with the meal. You’ll want to make reservations unless you want to risk ending up at the bar. Bring your own wine or beer for the evening, and you’ll be incredibly pleased with the entire experience.

For a relaxed yet classy meal, The Landing is the best choice. The food is phenomenal and well reviewed, and the service leaves nothing to be desired. You’ll love the terrace and seating arrangements.

14. Fran’s Pub

Patrons of The Good Gyro recommend the Falafel, Hummus, Baklava, Lamb Shawarma, Frittata, and, of course, the Gyros. The flavor combinations are perfect, with traditional sauces and bread. You can choose between platters, wraps, and gyros, mixing and matching anything on the menu. 

Keep in mind that the Good Gyro is a to-go establishment. The owners are kind enough to bring your meal to you, but it doesn’t have restaurant-centric seating due to the location. This is a great place to grab a meal before perusing the Ferry Market.

Martine’s menu includes Deviled Eggs, Bruschetta, Caramelized Day Boat Scallops, Presto Primavera with Steak, Chicken Liver Pate, Panko Crusted Flounder, and Fresh Watermelon. Their dessert menu is also phenomenal, with Chocolate Mousse, Carrot Cake, and Strawberries and Cream with a housemade Biscuit. 

This establishment is perfect for lunch and dinner, but you don’t want to miss their weekend brunch and cocktail menu. Take your in-laws while they’re in town, or go with your partner for a delicious meal.

Patrons highly recommend The Wonderful, a dressed patty with Havarti cheese, tomato, fresh greens, griddled mushrooms, Canadian bacon, and spicy BBQ sauce. If you’re looking for a flavor explosion in New Hope with bartenders that know their drinks and servers that are incredibly attentive, GreenHouse is the place to be!
