Epic Waters Indoor Park is located in Grand Prairie, Texas. It’s an excellent glass-walled water park with slides, pools, food, and drinks. There’s even an arcade! It’s open year-round and has a lazy river and surfing pool, offering tons of fun for all ages.
Epic Waters also has several slides, including The Aquanaut, the Yellow Jacket Drop, Lasso Loop, E-Racers, the ENORMOUS Texas Twist, the Prairie Plunge, and the Flowrider. It has two pools, The Watering Hole, ready for cannonballs and swimming, and the Wavepool, made for epic surfboarding and tubing. There’s also the Rio Grande Lazy River for all ages and the Rascal Roundup for the tiny tots who want in on the action.

As America’s largest indoor water park, Kalahari Indoor Water Park in Round Rock offers more fun than you can handle in one day! The 223,000-square-foot facility has everything from epic slides to swim-up bars. This is an indoor water park done in true Texas style!
Some of their most popular attractions are genuinely amazing. The Barreling Baboon is a four-part slide with oscillating funnels, crazy twists, and turns you can’t anticipate. The Cheetah Race is made for four friends to grab a mat and see who can hit the finish line first.
For an intense thrill, there is the Dungeons of Hout Bay, which includes a free-fall drop into a deep pool at the end, or the Screaming Hyena, which starts on top of the roof and drops you 60 feet. Coral Cove, perfect for the littles, has small slides and splash pools.
These rides barely scratch the surface of what they have on offer because, on top of over a dozen waterpark attractions, they also have the Tom Foolery Adventure Park with rides, games, and more.

Located in the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Villages at Lake Palestine in Flint, Texas, the Waterpark at the Villages is a fully enclosed glass-walled park with water slides, pools, and play areas. With a greenhouse-esque feel, it’s warm and welcoming any time of year.
With a lazy river, wave pool, two body slides, two tube slides, a children’s playground, and three slides just for the tots, it’s a great way to spend the day hanging out while staying at the Holiday Inn.
Even better, it’s open to the public and offers party packages, perfect for birthday parties and other celebrations. If you want to take a break from the indoor water park, you’ll also find an outdoor pool, mini golf, and an arcade on-site for extra fun!
Keep in mind that the indoor water park is only open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, so if you’re booking the resort for a family vacation, you’ll want to include a weekend. Otherwise, you’ll miss out on the epic water-filled fun. Thankfully, it’s open year-round, so you have plenty of weekends to choose from.

Great Wolf Lodge Water Park has made a name for itself across America, and the Grapevine location is no exception. It’s a three-star resort built for indoor water fun with themed rooms, slides, forts, lazy rivers, canyon runs, tornado funnels, and more. It’s an excellent place for a family getaway or just a day of fun out of the sun!
At Great Wolf Grapevine, you’ll find everything is sorted by age. Fort Mackenzie, for instance, is best for kids over 42” with a parent in tow, while Coyote Run and the Howlin’ Tornado are perfect for teens.
They also have several water attractions for toddlers, such as Cub Paw Pool, Totem Towers, and Racoon Lagoon. For adults, there is the North Hot Spring, a 21+ only hot tub so you can sit back and relax, child-free, at the end of the day.
The resort also boasts MagiQuest, where you get your very own wand and learn spells as you complete quests and adventures throughout the resort. Built specifically for ages 1-10, Splash Shack in Cedar Park is a miniature indoor water park that offers maximum fun and adventure with slides and climbing structures. There are no pools and no water depths, so you needn’t worry about your kid knowing how to swim before heading that way!
There are a few things you should know before you go. First of all, everyone is going to end up soaking wet when they step inside the building. There is water spouting from every available surface, so don’t expect to go and sit on the sidelines while staying dry. Secondly, it’s always beach weather inside, so expect it to be warm and a tad humid regardless of the outside weather.
Third, you can’t bring any food or drinks, but you’re welcome to get some while you’re there. Fourth, no glass is welcome in the building due to the threat to little splashing feet. All of these rules equal a ton of fun for everyone!
They’re closed on Monday and Tuesday but open the rest of the week and offer season passes that include some pretty cool swag, like a Locals Club Tee for the kids, unlimited admission for one child and their accompanying adult, 50% off guest tickets, and discounts on everything inside.
One-time admission is only $19.99, and a parent or guardian is included in that price, so don’t feel too pressured to buy the season pass until you’ve all had the experience.
Since this is a smaller water park, it’s perfect for getting the kids out to play again and again without the theme park feel and giant crowds. Show up early, and you’ll have most of the place to yourself. Peak hours are after school and on weekends.

The Cove at The Lakefront® in Little Elm is a fun indoor waterpark with something for everyone. They offer Baby and Me classes and free play for toddlers, two giant slides with interactive facades for school agers, a lazy river with a bar for the adults, and more!
One of their best attractions is the FlowRider® Double Surf Machine, where you can surf or water ski with a friend, but parents love the Splash Ground for hours of fun and happy kids. They also have The Dock Play Pool, A Cliff Jump, Rock Climbing, and several cabanas and birthday rooms for rent. The party package prices are reasonable and have optional add-ons like full catering and unlimited drinks.
The Cove offers a wide variety of ticket options, too, from day passes starting at $18 per adult and $14 per kid, year-round membership passes for $440+ depending on residential status, and Combo Passes which offer access to the Rec at the Lakefront®, an entire workout facility with classes, basketball, a kid zone, and more!

If your little one can't swim yet, no worries! They offer life jackets free of charge. The only downside to this incredible water park is the lack of seating for parents. Feel free to join your kids in the water, though. Make it a true family day out.

NRH2O Family Water Park is a seasonal outdoor attraction in North Richland Hills. While it may not have walls, there are plenty of ways to stay cool and out of the sun. It’s one of the best water parks in the state, so don’t miss out on all they have to offer!
This water park is open all summer long, with fantastic events like fireworks shows, drone shows, outdoor movies, and more. Their attractions include the Riggamaroll, the Accelerator, Blue Sky, Thunder, Beachside Bay, Green Extreme, Purplepalooza, the Double Dipper, Tadpole Swimming Pool, the Viper, Endless River, Sidewinder, Splashatory, and the NRH2O Ocean.
Each attraction is so large it’s easy to find fun beneath the structures, especially in the Splashatory. If you’re trying to keep your littles away from the hot summer rays but still want your bigs to soak up the sunshine with a bottle of sunscreen, this is an excellent choice for a fun day. Be sure to check the website for appropriate attire before you go. They have strict rules about specific clothing like cut-off jeans.
You’ll find two hotels nearby, the Hilton Garden Inn and the Holiday Inn Express. It’s worth booking at least one night if you don’t live in the area. If it rains, no worries! Thankfully, they offer rain checks if the park needs to close due to the weather.
8. Schlitterbahn Waterpark

Located near San Antonio, Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels is a fantastic resort with multiple attractions that offer wild thrills and over 51 different water rides. The park is sectioned out with one attraction per area, surrounded by a swimming pool, river, bar, and kids' play area, making it a brilliant setup for the whole family. There is plenty of shade, and some of the attractions are indoors.
The resort was recently redesigned to provide the best experience in Texas. You still have the Original section of Schlitterbahn Waterpark, with six tubing adventures, eight different attractions perfect for the littles, and seven insane rides that each offers the thrill of a lifetime. You also have easy access to the ten original dining options and tons of gift shops.
Now, though, they’ve added the double East sections, Surfenburg and Blastenhoff, each of which has its own Tubenbach. At the Surfenburg, you’ll find four high thrill rides, six fun and accessible attractions, and two insane tubing experiences, along with six places to eat and three places to shop. At Blastenhoff, you’ll find three more nerve-wracking rides, several fun and daring slides, and even more places to grab a bite to eat!

9. Forest Oasis Waterpark

Forest Park Oasis is a beautiful pool and lazy river within the Woodlands Hilton Resort, part of their Curio Collection. It’s not the most thrilling water park experience, but it’s perfect for lazy days by the pool while splashing and having fun. The water slides are set up within a stone tower, and the lazy river has ample tree coverage.
If you’re looking for wild rides and insane fun, head somewhere else and be ready for large crowds and loud noises. At Forest Oasis, they offer a true oasis for families with young kids or those who need a more relaxed environment. The water is heated to 85+ degrees Fahrenheit at every attraction, too. Even better, it’s all lit up in the evenings, offering a gorgeous poolside facade.
While Forest Oasis is part of the Woodlands Resort, you can still get day passes that include towel and wait staff service, fire pit access, and free Wifi. Tickets start at $45 for kids and $55 for adults, and you can add Daybed and Cabana rentals for a reasonable price. If you stay at the resort, access is free, and rentals are discounted.
10. Beach Park at Isla Blanca

At what used to be a Schlitterbahn location in South Padre, the new Beach Park at Isla Blanca is getting a massive overhaul and opening in the Spring of 2023. They’ll have indoor and outdoor water attractions, cabanas, swim-up bars, restaurants, hotel accommodations, and more.
Some of the best things to see and do are still a bit hush-hush before the grand opening, but everything that’s been released shows it will be a destination to remember, right in South Padre Beach. You’ll have choices on whether you’d like to stay at the accompanying resort, get day passes for $49+, or buy season passes and island passes at $159+ for the fun.
As a water park, it’s perfect for kids and families, but they also plan to offer beach weddings, corporate meeting spaces, and party packages that can hold up to 10,000 people.
