Like many wine tasting opportunities, guests can sample a variety of wines to get a feel for the wines produced from their vineyard.

Every Saturday and Sunday, Lakeridge holds an event called Weekends at the Winery with live music, a food court, and a wine bar. Visitors can take a picnic blanket or folding chairs, spread out on the grass, and listen to the music for free from noon until 4 PM.

2. Waterfront Park

The Waterfront Park in Clermont, Florida is a publicly-accessible park located on Lake Minneola. This park is a popular place for both locals and visitors because it contains well-maintained bike and walking paths, a basketball court, shaded picnic tables, and a small beach for swimming. 3. Clermont Historic Village Museum

The Clermont Historic Village Museums are owned by the city of Clermont and maintained by the Clermont Historical Society. This village contains several buildings that are each a small museum. These buildings preserve some aspects of Clermont’s history from the late 1800s to the end of WWII. The original, historic buildings include the Townsend House, Kern House, Memorial Library, Railroad Depot, World War II Museum, and Hooks Schoolhouse.

The existence of the Clermont Historic Village Museums is completely supported by donations and sponsors. Volunteers operate the village and lead tours, answering any questions asked by visiting guests. Artifacts are collected and maintained by the Clermont Historical Society. 4. Showcase of Citrus

The Showcase of Citrus, Florida’s Fresh Air Attraction, is a 2,500-acre farm that grows more than 50 varieties of citrus. These activities include a monster truck tour, gem mining, feeding farm animals, and picking citrus (November to May).

While it costs nothing to visit the Showcase of Citrus and wander around the attraction, there is a fee associated with all of the activities. 5. Palatlakaha River Park

The Palatlakaha River Park is a popular nature preserve that protects 23 acres of wetland and scrub habitat between Lake Susan and Lake Louisa. This park has a 2.5-mile paddle loop and a 0.7-mile hiking loop.

The hike takes visitors through Florida Scrub-Jay habitat. Native vegetation borders the trail through the park. Signs are positioned along the path to help hikers identify the plants with pictures of each native plant species, their common name, and their scientific name.

The paddling loop starts with a downstream float towards Lake Susan along a scenic waterway lined with cypress trees draped with Spanish moss. Upon reaching Lake Susan, paddlers turn around and paddle upstream towards Lake Louisa. This river contains gar, turtles, and alligators so visitors should watch for these species as they travel. After reaching Lake Louisa, paddlers can turn around and return to the ramp.

6. 10-Mile Clay Loop

The 10-Mile Clay Loop is a world-famous, highly-rated, popular road in Clermont. It is unpaved and made of soft clay with no rocks, providing an ideal place to run. This road is a 10-mile loop that does not see much vehicular traffic; however, it does see a lot of pedestrian traffic.

With its quiet, beautiful landscape and challenging hills, this road provides an excellent training course for all runners at all levels. Many running events take place on this course throughout the year. These events are often advertised on the Facebook page for this course.

The road is well-maintained by the community, but there are no facilities available for runners except on event days. This 10-mile clay loop is popular with many professional athletes that compete in triathlons, World Championships, and Olympic events.

7. Florida Scrub-Jay Trail

The Florida Scrub-Jay Trail, created in 2003 with a National Wildlife Federation grant, was designed to protect critical habitats necessary for the survival of the threatened Florida Scrub-Jay.

This property was chosen because, in 1997, a pair of Florida Scrub-Jays were discovered nesting on this property. That original nesting pair was protected and they produced fledglings. Descendants from the original pair continue to live on the property and raise their own young.

This property was replanted with native scrub oaks and other species, some of which are also listed as threatened or endangered. A trail through the property was created and school groups, scouts, families, and volunteers hike the trail and go bird watching. Many volunteers have worked tirelessly to preserve this site and protect the species from extinction.

8. Presidents Hall of Fame

The Presidents Hall of Fame is one of the oldest roadside attractions in Florida. This attraction is considered by some visitors to be a museum and by others, a quirky tourist attraction. It contains wax figures, cardboard cutouts, and other representations of all 46 presidents. In addition, there are replicas of many important presidential artifacts on display throughout the attraction.

A detailed and precisely recreated replica of the East and West Wings of the White House can be found within the Hall of Fame. The First Ladies with their gowns and the secret service car from Jimmy Carter are also displayed. A large model of Mount Rushmore provides an excellent backdrop for group photos. 9. The Citrus Tower

Located next to the Presidents Hall of Fame, the Citrus Tower has stood tall against the sky since 1956. This tower stretches more than 226 feet high and the tip of the tallest antenna on top of the tower reaches 500 feet into the air. The observation deck at the top of the tower is enclosed with glass, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding eight counties.

10. Lake Louisa State Park

Lake Louisa State Park contains 4,500 acres of lakes, hills, and forests that provide a quiet getaway for visitors to the nearby theme parks. 14. Bob’s Balloon Rides

16. Revolution Off Road

Revolution Off Road is located on 230 acres of land covered by ponds, mud holes, and meandering, hilly paths through the trees. This highly-rated adventure, designed for both adults and children, requires getting dirty and spraying mud. 17. Kings Ridge Golf Club
